What is date based pricing?
Date based pricing gives the yearbook adviser the ability to schedule price changes in advance. For example, you may want to sell your yearbook at a discount as an "early bird special" to incentivize your customers to purchase a book early at a lower rate (before the price goes up at a specified date).
How to setup a date based price
Assuming you already have your yearbook in a store, click the "Manage Sales" button
Then click the "Manage Pricing" link
If you already set pricing previously, you may see that price grayed out since it cannot be edited. Go ahead and click the "Add Date Based Pricing" button to add a new date and price
Now you can choose a "Price Start Date". Then you can change the sale price you want your customers to see in the store on the date you specified. When you are done making changes, click the "Save" button
If you navigate to the store, your customers will now see pricing displayed like this
Please note
You can add as many date based price points as you want, but we will only display the current price and the next scheduled price in the store at any given time. Also, we will only show the next scheduled price IF the price is greater than the current price. We will not show the next scheduled price if it is less than the current price.
