How to Unapprove a Submitted Cover (Super Admins Only)

Sometimes, a cover may need to be unlocked after it has already been submitted. Super Admins have the ability to unapprove a cover when changes are required.

๐Ÿ“ How to Unapprove a Cover

  1. Go to the Ladder.

  2. Scroll to the cover(s) you need to unapprove.

  3. Click the ๐Ÿ”’ Lock icon (located where the settings icon was before submission).

  4. Select ๐Ÿ”“ Unapprove.

  5. The cover will now be unlocked ๐Ÿ”“ and editable by the adviser.

๐Ÿ“„ After You Unapprove

  • The adviser will regain editing access to the cover.

  • Any previously issued PDF proof is no longer final, and a new proof will be generated once the cover is re-submitted.

๐Ÿ” Best Practices for Super Admins

  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Communicate clearly with the adviser before unapproving so they understand why changes are needed.

  • โณ Keep deadlines in mind โ€” unapproving may delay production.

  • ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Encourage a final review before the adviser re-submits to avoid multiple unapprovals.

โš ๏ธ Note: Unapproving a cover should only be done when absolutely necessary to avoid delays and potential rework costs.
