Purchasing and Designing a Parent Ad (Parents)
If your school or organization has decided to offer Parent Ads, you have a couple different ways to purchase an ad.
- Your yearbook adviser will have a URL specific to your child's school. They will usually share this URL on the school website, social media, fliers, etc. Check with your yearbook adviser to see if they will be offering Parent Ads and what the URL will be.
- If your yearbook adviser will be using an online storefront and it's accepting pre-orders, you will see an option in the store to design and purchase an ad.
Once you have the Parent Ad URL (or you click the "Design My Ad" button in the store), you will be taken to the Parent Ad home screen.
Enter the student's name and select their grade. You will only see the grades that the school has chosen to offer Parent Ads. You will also be able to choose the size of the ad you would like to purchase (the price for ads will be different for each school as this is chosen by the yearbook adviser). Click the "Design My Ad" button when you are finished with your selections
This will then send you to our Parent Ad editor. From here you will be able to apply layouts, add photos, text, art, and shapes (backgrounds not currently available for parent ads). If you do not finish designing your ad, you can save your progress and come back later by clicking the "Exit" button. When you are finished designing your ad, click the "Finalize and Submit" button to pay for the ad and submit it to the yearbook adviser for approval.
Tip: Try to keep your design elements within the dotted lines to allow a buffer between your ad and any neighboring ads.
Note: When you purchase an ad, it will be placed within the margins of the actual page. So a 1/4 page ad, will fill 1/4 of the page.
