If you would like to have yearbook orders from your online store shipped directly to each student’s home, then there are two ways to do this. You can set your store up for pre-order where parents can order yearbooks so they go into a queue until you (the adviser) finish the project and decide when to release the books to print. If your project is already complete and you want parents to be able to order yearbooks on demand, you can set your store up for 'Published Ordering'.
Option #1 Pre-Order without bulk shipping
1. Login to Creator Studio.
2. If you do not already have a store created, navigate to the "Sell" tab and click “New Store” to set up your store and add your yearbook project to it. For full details on setting up a store, see Creating a Storefront.
3. Add your book to the store by clicking "Store Settings" and opening the "Yearbooks for Sale" drop down menu. Check the checkbox of the yearbook you would like to add to this store.
4. Navigate back to the "Sell" tab in Creator Studio and click “Manage Sales” next to the book name under the store list.
5. Click the sales type: “Pre-Ordering”.
6. Choose “Ship to Customer” and select a pre-order deadline. Each order will ship separately to the address provided by the customer at checkout.
For example, a parent goes to your online store and proceeds to order a yearbook. They will be asked to provide a shipping address and a shipping fee will be added to the order. The books will not print and ship until you lock all of your pages, approve your proof and press the “Submit to Production” button. Once printed, the parent’s book will be shipped to the address provided at checkout.
Note: This setting cannot be changed once your store has one or more active orders.
7. Click: “Next”
Option #2:Published Ordering
1. Login to Creator Studio.
2. If you do not already have a store created, navigate to the "Sell" tab and click “New Store” to set up your store and add your yearbook project to it.
3. Navigate back to the "Sell" tab in Creator Studio and click “Manage Sales” next to the book name under the store list.
4. Click the option “Published Ordering”
5. If this is the first time you are publishing this project, you will need to go through and fill out the remaining options before publishing
Unlike our “pre-order” option which allows you to sell the book before it’s finished, Published Delivery lets you sell the book after it’s complete and have it ship directly to the student's home.
There are a number of reasons why you would want to set up 'Published Ordering'. For example, you may have already had this book up for sale as pre-order. And you may have already collected orders and submitted those orders to production. But now you may want to open it up for 'Published Ordering' so anyone who still wants to buy a yearbook and have it shipped to their home can do so.
Note: before selecting the Published Ordering option, all pages in your book must be locked and the final proof approved.
